Anyone visiting or residing in Boone should know this face, but it isn't famous for politics or sports or film or business or academia. I'm quite certain I remember it from at least the mid-1980s. This is exactly the kind of story syndicated news conglomerates miss, daily. It's not exceptionally eloquent or verbose language and that's probably a recycled photo, but it is written by a local reporter, for a local audience.
