2010 Met Costume Institute Gala

This is a long one, but there were just so many fun things to look at!

*Disclaimer - YJDKIY refuses to look up the spelling of celebrity names. Sorry, they're lucky I even know their names!

Chloe Sevingy - this actually works, except the back is bad, trust me. Maybe its just that she looks so much more, fashiony, than on Big Love! Speaking of, love, those shoes! B

Anne Hathaway - the top doesn't fit well, and it looks like tutu material, plus the color, which works with her hair, isn't really that flattering. C

And in related news,

Jennifer Lopez - the top does fit, but they should have swapped! B

Blake Lively - This looks fantastic on her, the cut, the color, the fit. It's age and event appropriate. I'm not sure who else could pull it off though. A

Carey Mulligan - Again I say, she was SO cute in the movie...can't you just work that look? This is all wrong, the heavy black bottom with the light hair and lacey purple pocketed frock? D

Christina Hendricks - She is so glamorous, and perhaps its just the in motion shot, but she's kind of channeling the Statue of Liberty meets a scary Katharine Hepburn. I don't really like the color, cut, the drapies, the furry animal on her shoulder, or the make up, but she still looks pretty. C

Gisele Bundchen - Um, catwoman got in a fight with a wild west rodeo outfit and this is all that's left? Not even her "perfect" body can work this fringey black leather disaster. D

Kate Hudson - meh. that's it. that and the leg looks really awkward, but thanks for not thinking you have to be orange to wear this color. C-

January Jones - It's a little promy, but I actually like this dress and think she looks cute and event appropriate, but could have done without the gloves. B+

Also in related news,

bah, I can't even remember this lady's name, but I think her version of this dress isn't working for her, at all. D

Dunno who this is either, but I do like her gauzey tulley whatever that is dress. Can't really explain why it works, but it does. B+

Rachel Zoe - Bizarre color  choice with the hair, but it pops off the red carpet for sure! I like the top and the bottom, but what happened in the middle?D+

Taylor Swift - bleh, meh...exact same comment as the last time I EFSA'd her. Except maybe even worse. D

Tina Fey - I don't even know what to say about this. It's almost stereotypical and she's too old for the boomerang trend of the pantsuit. Plus its just not flattering. I like the top, but the bottom...the bottom. And those eyes...hello Nefertiti? Maybe she WAS going for costume! C-
